Bringing People Together through Internet Technologies
TCFN is a nonprofit organization that uses Internet technologies to bring people together in communities of shared interest or need. We've been linking the people of Minneapolis, St Paul and neighboring communities since 1995.

The Freenet now has a new phone number for support, that will be answered by a volunteer when one is availible.
The number to now reach a volunteer is 612-812-2122

Our Mission

The mission of the Twin Cities Free-Net is to provide the means for everyone in the Twin Cities to access Internet resources.
About the Mission

*The primary Internet resources referred to are electronic mail (e-mail) and graphical World Wide Web browsing (Web access).
*Barriers to e-mail and Web access may include poverty, illiteracy, lack of English comprehension, or lack of education as well as lack of access to technology. Recognizing that we cannot address all those barriers ourselves, we will work along with other organizations that are addressing the non-technological barriers, while we focus on access to technology.
*When we find that another organization can do part of our mission better than we can, we will strive to cooperate with that organization toward our common goal.
